  • Question

  • Hi All,
I am looking for the simplest (hopefully code-less) provisioning from 2 forests.
    Functionaliy Required:
    - Forest A has a user that will synced to Forest B as a mail enabled contact.
    - Forest A has a group that will be synced to Forest B.

    I have found this:

    Hoping for an easy solution...

  • Hi,

the article you metion is quite useful but you need to dive a little bit more in how FIM/MIM works. So at least take a look on how FIM/MIM works in general like Sync and Provision/Deprovision and Attribute Flow concepts.

If you want to to it codeless you can install the MIM Service and Portal components and work with Portal Sync Rules to do codeless provisioning.

Or check MIM MRE from Soren Granfeldt to do codeless provisioning with Sync Engine only.

What you are trying to archive is quite a simple solution with MIM.

Just import the user/groups from Forest A, (Project the objects into Metaverse with attribute flows)

Generate objects in the destionation Forest connector space with Provisioning (Sync Rules or MRE) and set the needed attribute flows for export.

Take a look at how to Delete/Deprovision objects and the concepts on this to remove objects when they are removed from Forest A.

Thats nearly all you need to do.
