Windows 8.1 OSD supported with SCCM 2012 ?

  It's support with SCCM 2012 SP1 CU3 and SCCM 2012 R2.

  CU3 only supports the following for 8.1

  ‘This update adds support for Windows 8.1-based client computers in Microsoft System Center 2012 Configuration Manager Service Pack 1. Windows 8.1 is added to the supported platform list for the following features:
  
  Software distribution
  Software update management
  Compliance Settings’

  For complete OSD support you must be running R2. Here's a great starter guide.

  Just to clarify in case any one stumbles on this CU3 does not mention anything about OSD for Windows 8.1. In the Whats new in ConfigMgr 2012 R2  located here http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn236351.aspx they say.....

  The following items are new or have changed for operation system deployment in System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager:

  • Support for Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows 8.1. For more information about supported operating system versions, see Prerequisites For Deploying Operating Systems in Configuration Manager.

  To me if it is new in R2 then that means it was not supported prior to R2
