Menu Example / Powershell RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hello

Does any have or can point me to a simple menu options for powershell.

I want to be able to run various commands and checks on servers via this menu, example ping a server, get logs etc.

I'm still newish to PowerShell, so don't need any thing fancy, just a simple menu from which I can then add to.

  • I am going to assume you are curious about making forms with Powershell rather than simple menu options like File-->Open and File->Save in the ISE.  If so you may want to start here:

  • One of the easiest ways to implement a simple menu like this is to start with a collection of functions, and use Out-Gridview -OutputMode Single to display and select from those functions.

    [string](0..33|%{[char][int](46+("686552495351636652556262185355647068516270555358646562655775 0645570").substring(($_*2),2))})-replace " "

  • Use read-host with Write-Host and a switch statement.

Learn to write a loop and built a switch.
