I am getting several warnings and errors in my even viewer. RRS feed

  • So i an getting warnings and errors like this :

    Error:Some processor performance power management features have been disabled due to a known firmware problem. Check with the computer manufacturer for updated firmware.

    Error:Session "Microsoft-Windows-Setup" stopped due to the following error: 0xC000000D

    Error:Session "Microsoft Security Client OOBE" stopped due to the following error: 0xC000000D

    Error:Audit events have been dropped by the transport.  0

    If someone knows why and because of what i get this errors please help :).

  • Hi,

    The issue can be caused by the following factors.

    1. Motherboard features controlled by the BIOS are not compatible with Windows  7
    2. You have disabled “Speedstep” in your EVGA BIOS
    3. Check if you have installed KB940510 and KB936330 hotfixes. Some users say that if those 2 hotfixes are not installed the problem is not happening anymore.

    You can try the following actions.

    1. Update the BIOS firmware for the motherboard
    2. If your motherboard supports Speedstep,  make sure Speedstep is enabled.
    3.  Check with your hardware manufacturer to determine if there are known compatibility issues with Windows 7.
    4.  Try disabling processor power management features. Power Options -> change plan settings -> Change advanced power settings -> Processor Power Management -> Processor Power Management -> System Cooling Policy -> Passive.
