Is there a way to disable File Associations without having to delete them in App-V Management server? RRS feed

  • Question

  • How can one temporarily disable File Associations for a certain extension in App-V? Looking under the "File Type Associations" menu, it seems that the only option is to delete it. Can it be done somewhere in the OSD file maybe?

  • Hello,

You can disable the application if using an App-V MGT server - however, that would disable the entire application.

If you wish todo it temporarily you can always delete it and then rerun the advertisment (if using SCCM), re-run the MSI or perform a publishing refresh
