  • Hi,

Did you point to pin sign-in option or pin the app to start screen and taskbar?

If you want to disable pin sign-in option, follow these steps:

    1. Open run command (Win +R) and then type gpedit.msc and press Enter.

    2. Now navigate to Computer configuration-> Administrative Templates-> System-> Logon. On the right side panel, you can see the option “Turn off PIN and Picture password logon”. Double click the option and select the button “Enabled”.

If you want unpin the app from taskbar or start screen, just like others said, right click the app icon, select "unpin this program from taskbar" or "unpin from start"

  • In Windows 8.1, PIN logon is separate option and it seems it cannot be disabled for PCs not joined to a domain? Please advise.
