how to install openLDAP server into RHEL without internet connection

  • I need to implement the OPENLDAP in RHEL 6.5.but my system doesn't have internet connection.

    is it possible or not????

    if without internet connection is possible please help me with us for the step by step procedure..

  • If you already have the RPMs, then no, you donn't need an Internet connection.  Here's the first three steps which should get you started:

    1. Install the openldap, openldap-servers, and openldap-clients RPMs. 
    2. Edit the /etc/openldap/slapd.conf file to specify the LDAP domain and server. 
    3. Start slapd with the command:
    /sbin/service ldap start
