Unable to mount a VHDS on multiple VM RRS feed

  • Hello,

    I'm trying to mount a vhds on multiple VM with these following commands:

    Add-VMHardDiskDrive -VMName VM1 -ControllerNumber 0 -ControllerLocation 1 -path "D:\Share.vhds" -SharevirtualDisk

    When I try this command I have the following error:

    " Add-VMHardDiskDrive: Echec de l'ajout du périphérique 'Virtual Hard Disk'

    Le stockage où se trouve le disque dur virtuel ne prend pas en charge le partage de disque dur virtuel".

    When I see this error, I know that I an error due to my host disk.

    Is there some prerequisites for the use of VHDS file ?
