HTTP to HTTPS Redirection Trunk to HTTPS Trunk which authenticates ADFS 2.0 - Problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hey all,

I'm working on UAG 2010 SP2 and trying to do the following:

    1. I've got an working HTTPS trunk which requires ADFS2.0 authentication.

    2. I would like to make an HTTP to HTTPS redirection trunk which redirect URL's of applications published on my HTTPS trunk.

    3. I created an "HTTP to HTTPS Redirection" HTTP trunk.

    4. When i surfed to the portal address i've got an "You cannot access this site due to an internal error" message from UAG.

Can anyone explain how to troubleshoot this ?

  • I know that before SP2 it was not supported to use an HTTP to HTTPS redirect, you could only use HTTPS. I have not seen any information saying whether or not SP2 changes that, so I assume that it is still not possible.

This hasn't been updated in a while, certainly not post SP2 release, but since it's still published as far as I know it is still the official word - "You cannot use an HTTP to HTTPS redirection trunk to redirect HTTP requests from end users to your HTTPS trunk."
