Windows Media Center on XP RRS feed

  • Question

  • My computer opens to the Windows Media Center Edition. I just want the home screen for Windows. Should I uninstall Windows Media Center to prevent this? Will I be able to reinstall in the future?

  • Start/Stop Windows Media Center automatically when Windows starts

You can have Windows Media Center start or stop this immediately every time you start Windows.

    1. On the start screen, scroll to Tasks, click settings, click General, click Startup and Window Behavior, and then de-select Start Windows Media Center when Windows starts. to prevent automatic startup of Windows Media Center.

    2. Click Save to save your changes.
