Macro - custom fields of sub-projects RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Folks,

    We are trying a macro in Project Professional to update custom fields of sub-projects under master project. We are able to get task resources in sub projects. But, unable to get custom fields in sub-projects.

    Is there any way to achieve this?

    Your help is appreciated.

    Best Regards,

  • Hi Rod,

    Thanks for your reply. We are working on Project 2010.

    Was able to get project custom fields using below:

    rsField = FieldNameToFieldConstant("Custom Field Name", pjProject)

    FieldValue =  subProj.SourceProject.Tasks(1).GetField(rsField)

  • Once you open a subproject, you should get access to all task data including custom fields. Which version of project, what service pack level and what's the code that doesn't work?
