calendar and other list templates does not show up under tracking column

When I want to create a new list based on the calendar template, I am not able to find the template.

I go to : Site Actions > site settings > site libraries and lists > create new content

In the tracking column I expect to see the OOB templates, but ..... I only see the tasks template and none of the others like calendar!

What is wrong here, how can I get my templates back? (BTW I see the templates on the subsites, but not hte Parent site)

Hi,

I understand that you cannot create a Calendar list in a specific site. What is the site template of this site?

Make sure you have full control on this site. Check the site features and see whether the publishing features and Office SharePoint Server Standard Site Collection features have been activated.
