FIM 2010 R2 Portal - JavaScript Errors and Wonky Graphics RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

We have installed FIM 2010 R2.  Have successfully used the synchronisation service to connect to a test domain and import users into the portal.  When we log into the portal the graphics ribbon is doubled up.  There are a number of JavaScript errors happening and basically nothing works.  I can't add synch rules, search for users etc...

Does anyone know why this is happening?  JavaScript is enabled in the browser.  Tried on IE 10, IE 9 Chrome all failing.

  • Hello,

Is the FIM Portal site defined in the Intranet sites?

If you hit the underlying SharePoint site (e.g. <a href="http:///">http://<server>/), do you have the same issues?

Is there any URL redirecting happening at the IIS level or elsewhere?  I have this seriously impact FIM Portal functionality, as the relative paths to the images and JavaScript files got broken in the redirection.

  • Hi Marc,

Thanks for coming back on this.  We seem to have solved our problem.

We dropped back to SharePoint installed with no FIM Portal or Synchronisation, no Visual Studio, no Kerberos configurations via a VM snapshot. The latest install from that fresh position went fine, but this time everything became available. The install actually ran the Portal before the Synchronization which is not the documented correct order, but it worked.

JavaScript errors still popped up on IE10 only but if the user turns on IE10 compatibility mode they disappeared.
