How to quick see a persons calendar when reading a mail. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Running Outlook 2016 client.

Trying to optimize my daily operation :o)

    Issue:

When reading af mail from a person and the mail is open - what is the quickest shortcut to open his calendar to see available meeting time.

Right now i'm tabbing over to Outlook, click on the calendar icon and hit open another calendar to find him - long processing time to find a meeting spot.

Is there a more smooth and quick way to do this operation?

  • Hi Jan,

I don't think if there are a way to quickly see the available meeting time for another contact, the option said is the only way.

Below a list of Outlook Shortcuts for Calendar:

    Create an appointment

Use "Ctrl" + "N" when in Calendar view
Use "Ctrl" + "Shift" + "A" when in any Outlook view

    Create a meeting request

    Use "Ctrl" + "Shift" + "Q"

    Go to a date

    Use "Ctrl" + "G"

    Switch to Month view

Use "Alt" + "Equal" or "Ctrl" + "Alt" + "4"

    Switch to Full Week view

Use "Alt" + "Minus Sign" or "Ctrl" + "Alt" + "3"

    Switch to Work Week view

    Use "Ctrl" + "Alt" + "2"

    Go to previous appointment

Use "Ctrl" + "Comma" or "Ctrl" + "Shift" + "Comma"

    Go to next appointment

Use "Ctrl" + "Period" or "Ctrl" + "Shift" + "Period"

Set up recurrence for an open appointment or meeting

    Use "Ctrl" + "G"

Show [insert number] of day(s) in the calendar

Use "Alt" + [number of days you'd like to see]

  • Hi Jan,

    >>- what is the quickest shortcut to open his calendar to see available meeting time.

Do you want to quickly schedule a meeting with the sender?

I tested with my Office 365 client. I can hover over the sender' name and click Schedule a meeting on Contact Card.

Then I'll see the Schedule Assistant information(available meeting time).

Hope this is helpful to you.
