IPP Printer setting Configure Internet Port: Security Options

    Question

  • When adding an IPP Printer, you can configure the port to specify explicit credentials to connect and print to that printer. Does anyone know where those credentials are stored on Windows 7 and 10? I looked at the credentials manager and couldn't find them.

They are encrypted and stored under “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Printers\Internet Print Provider\Ports\”.

Apologies for the delay in responding. Hope someone in the future finds it useful.

  • Hi,
What certificate are you specifying explicitly? Is it a user certificate or computer certificate or third party certificate?
Please make sure that this certificate is installed successfully, and you could have a try to import this certificate manually and see if it works.

  • Are you configuring these on the Internet Port configuration?
