Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing your mouse drivers?
Press Start > in the search field type device manager > click
Mice and other pointing devices (or something similar) > Pick your mouse from the list > Right-Click and select
Uninstall
Afterwards, unplug your mouse and then plug it back in and allow the drivers to re-install. If it is the touch pad on a laptop, after you uninstall it then restart your laptop.
