Silicon Image 3112a / 3512a drivers RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have a Gigabyte GA-K8NSNXP Pro-939 mainboard.

I can install Vista using my old XP x64 drivers ( and tried the latest ones from  SiI) - all installs fine, but when the installation asks to reboot it comes  up with windows\system32\drivers\si3112.sys is corrupt or missing. Have tried  a few times, with different versions of the driver, and different flopies, all to the same result.

Will Microsoft offer drivers to support the SATA controller?  If not, where can I get drivers so I can enjoy Microsoft Vista.

  • I have the same issue on my board when installing Vista 64bit, this can only be due to lack of current drivers for the raid controller. I've read many posts where people are having the same problem with no fix.

I was how ever able to get Vista 32bit to install using the XP drivers that are on ATI's website (south bridge drivers).
