Could not complete the operation because Project is offline message RRS feed

  • Hi,  the past 2 days we experience the above message and none of us can access Project online.  As you know due to COVID-19 we are working from home and we are at a different location.  What causes this issue. It's on and off intermittently.  Our team members clear cache, reboot, sometimes it works sometime it doesn't.  We are at the end of the quarter and this slows our production down to close Q1.  Please advise.

  • If it is intermittently, then it sounds like your WiFi could be the cause.  Can you connect a cable between your computer and router and see if it works better.   

    Any guess and assumption is that you are using WiFi.  Your neighbors may be trying to hack your wifi.  This is done by Deauthenticating your connection, which knocks you off wifi and project online.

    Use a direct connect to your home router and see if the issue goes away.

  • It happens to all 4 schedulers seated in different home, I went ahead and contacted MS they said yesterday there were report similar to mine and their SharePoint engineer team has fixed something at their end "SharePoint Trotting"  Everything is back to normal for now.  Thanks for the suggestion about connect to cable, mine is on wire.
