Managing windows 10 Update notification RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are running WIN7 Enterprise level with all of our machines connected to a domain yet we still have users receiving the "Windows 10 upgrade now" when they launch IE. According to Microsoft this should not happen at all as it is automatically disabled on Enterprise level and a computer joined to a domain

  • Hi Steven,

There is no doubt that your survey is exact and reasonable.

As you said, for the users that use Windows 7 Enterprise and join a domain, they did will not get the upgrade notification even on the website.

However, the upgrade notification here means the hint window which located in the lower right corner, rather than the one on IE browser.

It could be some Microsoft website to do so, not the IE. The website’s Javascript can check system version then the notification will be on.

So, I suggest to check those users’ IE homepage setting, maybe they set a Microsoft website as homepage, when they open IE, browser will display “Windows 10 Upgrade now” page.

    Hope my clarification is clear.
