    I'm trying to install Access 2003 on a Windows 7 Dell laptop. It freezes trying to load FP5AUTL.DLL and won't continue.

    Hi,

     

    Based on my research, I would like to suggest the following:

     

    1.    Please ensure the installation media is not corrupted.

     

    2.    Run the installation again with Compatibility Mode as well as selecting the option “Run as Administrator”.

     

    3.    Boot the computer to Clean Boot environment and install again:

    Considering this issue is related to Microsoft Office, if the issue persists, it is recommended that you go to Microsoft Office Forum for further investigation:
