Start Task Date moves back in time editing a Project RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi everybody

I have a problem with start task date for my projects (we use Project Server 2013):

    - when I edit a Project, sometimes it happens that the start date automatically moves back in time.

I am attaching a screenshot for clarity for one Project.

I don't know if it depends onthe start date of the project details or the date of creation of the first baseline.

    Thanks for the help!!

  • Hi Claudia,

When you say that the start date moves automatically backward, are you talking about the project start date or the start date of one or many tasks? Also I see that you're working in PWA. Is it possible that another user edited the project (in MS Project Pro or PWA) and did some updates to the project without warning you?

Dinally I can see that you have manually scheduled tasks. Note that if the task mode is switched to automatic scheduling and if the task has no predecessor, it will automatically move either to the current date or to the project start date, depending on how did you configure your project scheduling options.

    Hope this helps,
