Deletion from connector space RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

    If I need to delete a single record from Connector Space, can I delete by executing delete command, something like:

    delete from mms_connectorspace where rdn='xxx';

    Is it the right process? Is there any impact if we directly remove entry from CS table? Please let me know. I need this in case some orphaned objects lying in connector space and their corresponding objects are removed from source. I can delete entire connector space and rebuild it, but I want to know what should I do if I need to delete few objects instead of entire connector space. Please advise.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Certainly doable, if you know what you are doing, but not advised.

  • Hi,

    and in addition, directly working on the databases of FIM/MIM is not supported.

    Why do you want to do that ?

    If the Object is in the Connected System it will came back after the next import into the CS, if it is a pending export you should correct the logic behind so that FIM/MIM removes that object from CS.

    So as Nosh already said, technically possible, but you should aviod that.

  • I'm not exactly getting what you want. what i understood from your question if you want to delete the MV object when source object is deleted. so you can test in Lab go to Metaverse designer then Configure Object deletion Rule then select second option Delete MV object when connector from any of the following MA is disconnected. and select your MA
