  • Does the server have internet access?

    Is RWA Configured?

Is port 80 and 443 open?

The answer is yes to all those questions. I found though in the Power Options that the server was set to "Balanced" (which for some reason is default and recommended). I figure that this might be putting the machine to sleep occasionally. Therefore I have changed it to "High performance" and hopefully this will solve the problem...

  • Mine is set on balanced to, so i dont think that is the problem.

What sort of router do you have?

Is your server using DNS forwarders - is it set to use the router as it's only forwarder?

If so, set to ISP DNS or Open/Google DNS.

  • I guess that you are right Robert! There was an old DNS in the forwarders list. I have changed that to Google's servers now. Let's hope that it helps...

Btw. Is it possible to let the server pick its forwarders automatically from the router?

/Ps. Concerning the Power Options... Wonder why the "balanced" mode is recommended on a server?

  • Maybe you can check this out on DNS forwarder:

  • I'm not at the machine right now, but is there an Internet Connection Wizard in SBSE?

  • No there isn't.

  • So, DNS forwarding can only be modified manually within the DNS tool?
