Screen Settings RRS feed

  • Question

  • An executive at my company was recently given dual screens.

He likes to keep his main monitor horizontal, and the other vertical for documents.

The trouble is, upon boot up, both screens will be at horizontal, or both at vertical.

And, when the computers screen times out, and he logs back in, the vertical monitor switches back to horizontal.

Is there a way to set one to horizontal and one to vertical and lock those settings?

Fortunately, he is proficient enough to change it back but, he is an executive and he has been asking often since the day he got the monitors... HELP!

  • Hi,

According the issue, I suggest that may upgrade the graphic driver first, then try to perform a Clean Boot to check whether this problem is caused by any third-party software.

Note: Clean Boot is a step of troubleshooting, we can go back to normal by running MSCONIFG.
