Invalid ABEID message when i get a calendar folder permission RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I'm administrating folder permission for our local users using powershell.

Recently i've been having issues with some users
When i execute the following command (or commands like this one) Get-MailboxFolderPermission "user":\Calendar

This is the message i get

    Invalid ABEID
        + CategoryInfo          : NotSpecified: (0:Int32) [Get-MailboxFolderPermission], InvalidParamException

I have no idea why and i can't find any info about it online. The problem doesn't occur with every user but as far as i can see there are no real differences between the user where it fails and the ones were it succeeds.

Can anyone help me with this problem?

  • Some extra information, when i try to add permisions to a calendar where i have the problems stated above i get a message that the operation couldn't be performed because "user:\calendar" could not be found.

I already did a folder check and as far as i can see there is nothing wrong with these folders.

  • Seems the fact that the calendar could not be found was a language problem.

The account has been set up in dutch so i had to use the dutch word for calendar.

The other issue is still there though.

I'm one of the test users for the service upgrade to the 2013 version so maybe this caused the problem?

    Anyone here experienced something similar?
