destop icons and icons in the task bar keep flashing

Question
-
I recently upgraded windows 8.1 to windows 10. It had been working fine and recently when I used a pen drive and 3g dongle at the same time in two ports, I could see the icons of the desktop and taskbar flashing continuously. Initially, I doubted something is wrong with pen drive and 3g dongle but I had used these both when I was a user of windows 8.1 and no problems sprung up like this. I went through some articles about icon flashing in Microsoft windows website but it proved futile. This problem is still continuing and even when I/0 ports are free, the icons keep changing between the default folder icon and the application icon. Waiting for a solution from Microsoft technical team.

If you only have one plugged in the behavior goes away? Have you looked in Device Manager to see if when both are installed that they constantly loop with errors or warnings? Just curious if there is possibly a third party driver for Windows 10 that can be manually applied for one or both of the USB attachments?

Hi,
Yes, go to the device manager to remove the related driver for your Pen drive and 3g dongle to see if it can fix this issue.
It can be the issue due to the incompatible device or software.
Please find if there is any update on manufacturer's website for Windows 10, and consult them also to check if there is any known incompatible issues there.
