Windows 7 Blue Screen Of Death (BSOD) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi everybody,

a week ago my laptop showed for the first time a BSOD. I'm 90% sure that it is a hardware issue. Sometimes when i lift/move it or even press with my hands in certain areas it appears the  following symptoms:

    • the screen will immediately freeze or
    • it will reboot or
    • a BSOD will appear

I have checked other topics and i found that these files can be useful:

Additionally, I have noticed that the BSOD error code is not the same everytime. The last time was this one i think:

    Problem signature:
      Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
      OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3
      Locale ID: 1032

    Additional information about the problem:
      BCCode: 50
      BCP1: FFFFD46000105629
      BCP2: 0000000000000008
      BCP3: FFFFD46000105629
      BCP4: 0000000000000007
      OS Version: 6_1_7601
      Service Pack: 1_0
      Product: 768_1

I would really appreciate any help. Thank you

These error codes are not usually hardware but we cant tell till you run verifier.

  • These crashes were related to memory corruption (probably caused by a driver).

Please run this test to find which driver is causing the problem.

If you are overclocking (pushing the components beyond their design) you should revert to default at least until the crashing is solved. If you don't know what it is you probably are not overclocking.

  • First of all thank you for your quick response. No I am not overclocking.

I am not sure if this file helps, but there you go.

I will try the verifier tomorrow and i will post the results. However, I am not sure how me lifting/moving the laptop is associated with the drivers. That's why i thought it was a hardware problem.

  • Hi,

If you are using DropBox, try to do this:

    - Open DropBox-Settings

    - Select Bandwidth

    - Limit upload speed to 20 kB/s (or so, depending on your capacity)

Leaving DropBox determining bandwidth itself (default) may cause conflicts with yor lan controller, resulting in Bluescreen.

Same problem may occur when using BitTorrents.
