An operation that uses the database driver could not be completed RRS feed

    When exports the file from a Sharepoint list to Excel. 
    When tries to open the file I gets the following error: 
    "An operation that uses the database driver could not be completed.
    If the driver is a Microsoft driver, make sure the driver file isn't damaged,
    and it it is, reinstall the driver by reinstalling Microsoft Query". 

    Please help me.

    An export to Excel is really an .iqy, which I assume are the instructions to initiate the query.  So, my guess is that your .iqy driver is FUBAR.  My Bing search didn't net much, but heres a long boring story about it:

    Also take a look at the following SharePoint.Stackexchange thread:

    Error while exporting to a SharePoint list

    This mentions the following:

    "Open the SharePoint 2010 Central Administration, Go to Application Management => Manage Web Applications and then select your web application. In the Ribbon, select the General Settings => Resource Throttling, There you can see the threshold limit 5000, edit the value as you need and save it."

    There is one throttle limit for regular users, one for admins. Hope this helps!
