i need a policy for remove tab hibernate ? RRS feed

  • i need that a policy , that remove a tab hibernate for client. becase some of them used hibernate and script in startup and shutdown not run. please help me o fource in server 2003

  • You can create a group policy for that.  Computer configuration > Policies > Administrative Templates > System > Power Management.

  • You may use Group Policy to do that..

     

    access your Group policy management console..

    You may refer to some of the thread that i have replied to other users pertaining on group policy.

  • Hi..

    You can use the command --> powercfg.exe -h off : This will disable the hibernation function.

    You can make a registry entry in the HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce with the GPP..

  • i know this command powercfg.exe -h off but users used powercfg.exe -h on and enablae hibernate

    in register too useres chenge value of 0 to 1 and ok

  • first , this policy is in user configuration, and it polcy is for password in hibarnate

  • This has to do with the user being required to provide a password when the machine is coming out of sleep or hibernate.  It is not going to limit the visibility of the hibernate option for that user or machine.
