Change fields in the Task Progress area of My Work RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to change the Timephased Work field to a Completed Work field on the Details page of My Work in PWA 2010.

I can change the fields in the lower, Task Properties section of the page by going to the "Manage Views" secton of server settings and going to the "My Work", "Details" section, but there is now way to change the Total Work and Timephased Work columns in the Task Progress area (see picture).

Can someone show me how I can change the fields in the Task Progress area?

    Thank you

  • Dale,

We figured out how to change the task progress fields.  The setting is via the "Task Settings and Display" on the Server Settings page:

When the Timephased field was showing the "Tracking Method" was set to "Hours of work done per period".  When we changed it to "Actual work done and work remaining", it changed the "Timephased work" field to "Completed work"

Someone within our group had inadvertently unchecked the box in the Project Web App Permissions under the security group to not allow administrators the ability to see all of the available options under Time and Task Management.  Someone with farm admin permissions was able to track down the fix for us.

    Thanks!

I do not believe there is any way to change those fields.  Sorry.

  • Well Dale, I thought the same thing... then I noticed on another installation we have of PWA that the fields are different.  Don't know how they got the way they did cause I have been searching for a way to change them for weeks.
