How can manage project server security permission in sharepoint permission mode 2013 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Dear all,

As we are using project server 2013 we are little bit confused in permission modes i:e; sharepoint mode and project server mode.

    Detail Scenario:

As in project server permission we can more specfically manage the permission like to VIEW: PROJECT CENTER YES/NO , RESOURCE CENTER YES/NO etc etc.

We need same kind of permissions in sharepoint mode? Does it exists or is there any workaround for this.

    Thanks

The default installation of Project Server 2013 uses SharePoint permissions mode.  This means that all user permissions are managed from SharePoint.  If you need to set specific permissions of the type you describe, then SharePoint permissions mode is not for your organization, and I would recommend you change it to Project Server permissions mode.  Hope this helps.
