Query Data Transferred and Time Elapsed by InProgress Job RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Everyone

We would like to use powershell to query an InProgress job and return the Elapsed Time and the amount of data transferred.

    This is for monitoring purposes.

I dont see any commandlet that would contain this information?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated

    Regards

    Brendon

  • Hi,

You can download the DPMJobs-V3.0 - that will do what you want.

FYI - That DPMJobs utility was written before the last DPM QFE that changes the location of the custom filters, so if you are running DPM 2010 V3.0.8180, or DPM 2012 you must copy the JobFilters.xml file from the following directory before running the utility:

Copy the JobFilters.xml from %SystemDrive%\Users\User name\appdata\Microsoft\Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager TO DPMInstallLocation\DPM\bin folder.

-OR- use the new DPMJobsQ power shell script attached to this post.
