    I have Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 running on Windows 8.1.  Word crashes every time I attempt to create a document. Publisher and Power Point work just fine. What's the glitch?

    Hi,

    Since when did you start experiencing this crash issue? Have you made any changes recently to your computer?

    Please try to launch Word 2013 in safe mode and see if issue persists. If it works well in safe mode, then it is due to add-ins:

     Press Win + R and type "winword /safe" in the blank box, then press Enter. (Please note there is a space between ‘WinWord’ and /. )

    Please also check for updates and install any required ones, then check result. It’s always a good idea to keep current with updates.
