Deleting a Document Library without permission RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I'm new with Sharepoint and I have created a new Document Library and by mistake, I modified the permission of the site owner group to read-only. After that it refreshed the site and the document library that I created is just showing the "Actions" options. i want to delete it but I cannot since the Settings options is gone.

Is there another way to delete it?

    Our sharepoint server is 2007.

    Thank you

you should not try to change the permission level for Site owners, in SharePoint site owners are equivalent to site administrators.

If you remove access to site administartors, then you have to relay on Site collections administrators.

Creat a custom permission levels and assign users to it. Dont directly play with Permissions, try to manage in your dev environment and then replicate it in the production environment.

  • I can't bring back the previous permission as I have mistakenly changed it to read-only :(

Can you show me the steps on how to see the username with Site collection admin rights?
