Configuring Azure RMS Sharing application RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I'm trying to create silent installation package of the RMS Sharing application.

I'm using steps described in section "To deploy the RMS sharing application for Office 2010 and Azure RMS" on document:

    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn339003(v=ws.10).aspx

    When running command :

    x64\win7\aadrmprep.exe /findCertificationUrl /logfile "<log file path and name>"

The log file looks like this:

    --------

    Configuring your computer for AADRM...
    Getting service location...
The default silent service discovery failed. hr=0x8004cf48
    Trying RMSO using SIA...
Your computer has been configured for AADRM successfully!

    -------

Where is the certificate Url that I need in next step?

I am AAD and o365 Global Admin and RMS is enabled and default templates configured - if it matters.

  • You can get this URL in another way as well.

Install Windows Azure Active Directory Module for Windows PowerShell  (on any machine)

    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj151815.aspx#bkmk_installmodule

    Run:

    connect-AadrmService

    Get-AadrmConfiguration

This will give you the certificate url you can use.

Also note that we just released an updated version of the Sharing App that has some additional install features (non-admin install option)
