App-v 4.6 Sequencing.

Question
-
Hi.
I've started to play with App-V 4.6 Beta on Windows 2008 RTM x64 bit.
I've tried to move some applications from a 4.5 enviornment that we have, some work fine and others don't. Some of the errors that occurs does occur on both the packages that I move from 4.5 and on the ones that I resequence on a Windows 2008 RTM X86 4.6 sequencer and run them on a Windows 2008 RTM X64 Terminal server. (The packages that I tried to move from the 4.5 enviorment is sequenced on a Windows 2003 SP2 4.5 CU1 sequencer.)
App 1 :
Citrix Access Gateway 4.6 Admin tool.
The sequence goes thru fine, the application starts on the Sequencer and works
When I launch it on the Terminal server it just quits right after launch. (Does not start at all)
And these three events is logged in the eventviewer :

App2 :
RoyalTS from Code4ward.
The sequence works fine, the application launches on the Terminal server, everything works fine, exept if I try "File Open", then the application just freezes.
I'm unable to determind whats wrong with these packages using process monitor.Thursday, November 5, 2009 8:31 AM

I would suggest to re-sequence the AG Admin Console on a 64bit System: When Sequencing it on a 32bit sequencer, CSIDL_PROGRAM_FILES is automatically used as a replacement for "C:\Program files". But on a 64bit System, this folder would point to the 64bit portion of the file system (and registry as well), and not point to the WOW portion (C:\Program Files (x86)).
I haven't installed the AG Admin Console for a whle so I don't know if it allows to be installed to Q:\something. If it would allow this, I also would give that a try

I had the same problem with Office 2007 Professional Plus sequenced on 32bit, running just fine on W2k3 SP2 Std 32bit Terminal-Servers and not running under W2k8 SP2 Std 64bit Terminalservers. I resequenced Office on App-V 4.6 RC Sequencer on a W2k8 SP2 Std 64bit Server as Sequencer and let Office run with App-V 4.6 RC x64 Client. Result is, that it still does NOT run correctly. The same problems as before appear (Starting Outlook - can look at Mails just fine, but when I click "reply" or "New Mail", Outlook hangs and I have to kill the Process.)
At the moment I have a call at Microsoft open. I'll let you know what the result will be...

@Suckupper: Have you ever worked this out? I have exact the same problem with Outlook however all my server are 32 bit Windows Server 2008 (and thus 32-bit clients of App-V 4.6 RC). I have repackaged several times but all the times the same showstopper.

Has this issue been resolved? The post below doesnt exist anymore...
http://www.softgridguru.com/viewtopic.php?p=12077&sid=340a5b95ab2e0390fe952d5905d499c6I actually have a very similar issue where the app starts to open, but closes right away. I have checked the app-v logs and the event log in windows, but I'm not coming up with anything.

I had the same issue with an appv package on W7. There are 2 ways to fix the issue:
1. Run the shortcut in compatibility mode
2. Use the "Run as Administrator" (when you right click on the shortcut).
Hope this helps.
