Delivery receipts in Outlook 2013 issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I am using Outlook 2013, Windows 10 Pro.

I have a Customer Service email address, this email address added on all Customer service users in the company, it's for multi-users so when one user of them send email address to many emails or single email and active read receipts and delivery notifications the delivery messages come to all other users, how can i make it come to the user who sent the email.

is there a way to avoid multi-Read-Receipt-Delivery-Messages in all other outlook ??

  • Hi,

Please see the below option by default it will send back a delivery message for the sender (Customer Service email address)

If this Customer Service email address is a distribution group (consist of all Customer service users emails) you cannot achieve this is a limitation.

  • Hi Mohamed,

Agree with the reply of Thuyavan that there is no built-in option in Outlook to realize your requirement.

If your main concern is the notification messages may disturb all the users of the mailbox, one thought is that you may consider using inbox rules to move all receipts and delivery notifications to a particular folder of the mailbox, so that users won't get new mail alert for those messages by default but they can check that folder when necessary. For example, since all read receipts contain "Read:" in the subject of the mail, we can create a rule as follows to automatically move the messages to a particular folder e.g. "Read receipts":

    Hope this can be helpful.
