Remove All Active Directory References to previous SCCM Server RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have installed a new SCCM 2012 R2 Server and need to remove all references in  Active Directory to the previous SCCM Server.

Does anyone know the steps required to do this or have any pointers ?

    Thanks Guys.

  • You can just delete them with the AD Users and Computers console. Open the ADUC console, go to the View menu and make sure "Advanced Features" is selected. Then in the object tree, go to your domain -> System -> System Management, and delete any objects related to the old environment.

Even if you accidentally delete any objects associated with the new environment, ConfigMgr will automatically recreate them, so it's not that risky of an operation.
