Are there any service patches for IE 11 memory leak issue? RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have an ASP.NET and Angular based web application which has memory leak issue on IE 11. Running the same web application on Edge, the memory leak issue is much better controlled. But we have many many computers which cannot be upgraded to Windows 10 at this time.

My question is, are there any recent service patches for IE 11 which can address the memory leak issue?

    Thanks a lot.

  • Hi BF1,

what memory leak issue? It might be your coding or third-party addons or ActiveX controls that you are using.

Use the Help>About Internet Explorer menu to determine the UPDATE version of your current IE11 version on the Windows platform of the client. You may be missing recent security updates for out-of-date ActiveX control blocking.

Your company should already be using Enterprise site mode lists on Win7 and higher to manage backward compatibility of legacy intranet applications.
