Hammock Task RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I created a Hammock task that's lasting the whole project. Every week of this task takes 24 hours of work. When the last finish dates extends, can I make Project automatically add the 24 hours for each week?

Is the hammock task a Fixed Units task?  If so, when the Duration changes, Microsoft Project will automatically recalculate the Work.  Hope this helps.

  • Do you have resource(s) assigned to the task?  The work will only increase automatically if you have resources assigned to the task and, as Dale notes, the task is Fixed Units.  Then as duration increases, work will increase in proportion to the assignment units.
