CHKDSK Always Runs at Startup on Vista RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I seem to be having a few performance issues with Vista at the moment, the foremost being that they system takes a very long time to boot up.

I am running Vista Business and for some reason, the system always runs CHKDSK at startup without fail. I can't defrag the drive because it is marked as dirty by Windows, yet the CHKDSK finds nothing and just keeps on running at every startup. Does anybody have any ideas as to what may be causing this?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.
