connecting the workstations of the second domain to SMS-2003 site RRS feed

  • Question

  • We use SMS-2003 with only primery SMS-server. This server is the member of AD-domain (name A). Now I have need include the workstation from domain B to this sms-site  I added new boundaries in setting of sms-site, installed the sms-sdvanced client in the test workstation (the member od domain B) but sms-client in ws-test cannot find sms-site.

I check - ping from test-ws to sms-server is OK

I see in test-WS  - Automatic site discovery was unsuccessful

What do you think about my problem, please?

  • Managing clients in different domain is Only supported by SCCM 2012. If you still want to manage the clients, you can treat those clients in different domain as work group clients and follow this link :

  • You need to setup a SLP, so that the PCs can locate the correct site details.
