Vista Beta2 - no microphone on intel d975xbx RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have installed the 32bit version of Vista Beta 2 on an Intel D975XBX and had a real nightmare with the audio side.

tried installing the Intel Audio drivers and apps of the CD and everything looked great it recognised the jacks and saw when something was plugged in but the audio was very wierd souded like it was playing back to front underwater.

So removed the app and driver and let vista handle it and the sound is ok!.

However, now there is now no installed hardware for audio input

    Any help gratefully received

  • Same issue here. The Motherboard is Intel D945PVS. Using the Intel driver gives very crappy sound and the Vista in-box driver does not recognize the microphone. Any updates on this?

  • I have installed Vista 64 and there is no sound coming from the motherboard.  The latest drivers and Bios did not help.  Any ideas?
