  • Hi All, Is there any way to connect oracle database without installing oracle client on the server...

  • While I am awaiting the reply my answer is NO.

    It is not possible to connect to Oracle database from a Microsoft product without a driver installed beforehand.

  • Microsoft provides "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for Oracle", but I think it is very old and not recently maintained. I would advise what Arthur suggested, to use the Oracle client software.

  • Do you mean you want to connect from within an instance of SQL Server (say 2008) to Oracle 11g? And this you need inside SSIS?
