2013 Resource Center: View failed to load RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

we migrated an environment from 2007 to 2013 (SP1).

Resource Center shows "The view failed to load".

The default view is there. Changing the view and using a combination of F5 and STRG-F5 sometimes makes the page load - but only sometimes. Issue is not for all users, but for some. No known rule for that yet.

Tried resetting the settings for a specific user (http://blogs.technet.com/b/projectsupport/archive/2013/12/11/project-server-2013-error-loading-views-if-the-default-view-is-missing.aspx#pi142543=1) but that does not seem to help.

No messages to be found in the ULS logs.

Project Center and Project Details views without issues.

    Anyone here with new ideas?

    Thanks a lot

    Christoph

  • There was a similar issue which was fixed in April 2014 CU:

After you upgrade from Project 2010 to Project 2013 and the default out of the box view is deleted, default views are unable to load for Project Center, Project Details and Resource Center. Additionally, you receive the following error message:

The view failed to load. Press OK to reload this view with the default settings. Press Cancel to select another view.

If you click OK, you receive the following error message:
You don't have permissions to view any projects.

This was fixed in April 2014 CU for Project Server 2013:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2863881/EN-US

Additionally, can you share the logs from the server to help us understand what is the error that we are coming across in the logs.
