TMG or UAG RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi I need to install reverse proxy that will handle incoming requests for HTTP to webserver, HTTPS to exchange (Activesync, Outlook anywhere), HTTPS to Lync, Office web app, sharepoint, TFS, and HTTPS to Remote desktop server.

In order to achieve all that is it better to use TMG or UAG? I have installed TMG and for some users Activesync is working for some not .... I have single UCC with multiple SANs certificate.

I read that TMG is for outgoing and UAG is for incoming traffic.

Can you please advice especially since TMG is discontinued product?

I tried with IIS ARR but I have a problem with rpc so I though to install something that is built for these things.....

  • Hi there - I would personally use UAG in your scenario requirements.

  • Hiya,

I think that you should look at the Web Application Proxy.
