Skype to Lync voice call fails RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello

I have configured the Lync federation with Skype. I have IM and Presence interoperability working both ways. Voice is working from Lync to Skype.

My problem is just voice calls from skype to lync. The calls fails and I get a no answer in the skype client. Looking to the Edge logs I can see a "SIP/2.0 480 Temporarily Unavailable" received from the front end that is forwarded to the skype.

    Any idea is welcome

  • Hi,

From your description above, it can be the issue of the ports between Lync Edge Server external interface and Skype. Please double check the ports with the help Thamara.Wijesinghe provided above. Especially for the source IP address is from Public IM connectivity partners.

Also, please also make sure Lync Server update to the latest version.

    Best Regards,
