  • Dear All

       I used symantec backup exec 2010 to backup exchange 2010 database, on job status is show backup complete, but when I try to test restore some user mailbox, it can not restore, have some body have this case?, I already check box on database is can over write by restore option

  • Is it granual level backup?
    What is the error message you are getting?
    Did you try full restore?

  • Backup comes ion two flavours.. Database backup where you need to use Recovery Storage groups as suggested by Jonas

    and Brick level backup where you can see all the mailboxes alongwith associated folders in restore menu. I beleive you are using DB option

  • First test your backup scheme so you know the tricks when recovery time comes. Symantec has too many properties sometimes. Double check the whitepaper for the Symantec 2010 for best settings.
