windows media player causing system to freeze RRS feed

  • Question

  • My system ran fine for a year or so. Recently my system started freezing almost randomly, mostly when watching videos. I tried using different video players however nothin seemed to change. I tried eliminating all the usual suspects but nothing seemed to stop the freezing. I finally removed windows media player and the freezing seems to have stopped. I'm not looking for a solution as I'm perfectly fine running without wmp. I just wanted to let the community know about this issue.

  • Hi,

Since you mentioned that different video players however nothing seemed to change, I suspect there also might be caused by the incompatibility of video card.

Try the install the latest video card applied to your computer for test.
