  • Hi,

I use HewlettPackard.Servers.BladeSystem version 1.40.1.0 without problems. When do you get the error message? When you configure the "HP BladeSystem Enclosure Monitor Manager" ?

  • There is not much more information to tell. I had hoped someone had experience with this mp and could lead me to some steps to troubleshoot.

This exact management pack worked on a previous scom install on server 2008 sp2. Perhaps that is the problem.

SNMP trap service is required this is running. No other errors than the one in the previous post.

I have run proces monitor and no errors shown in there that lead me to the solution.

I start to believe it does not work on 2008 r2 sp1.

I agree with Pavel, some more information please.

  • I downloaded it from HP it is version 1.4.

I installed both snmp and wbem proliant pack. Also the blade mp.

I get the error as soon as I try to add the enclosure

  • Hi,

Is it possible to sign in if you use a browser https://<ip address> ?

Can you upload a screendump of the error message?

  • Ping works.. I can connect to it from another server in the same vlan.

There are no restrictions configured on the enclosure. The firewall on the local server is off..

  • Hi,

The following link discussed a similar issue, changing regional settings resolved this issue. Please check if it will work here:

  • It seems I have some kind of other problem..

I used httpwatch to see what happens I get an error "ERROR_INTERNET_SECURITY_CHANNEL_ERROR" which means

The application experienced an internal error loading the SSL libraries.

Any idea how to fix this?

  • I know this is an old thread but I couldn't find any one else on the net with the same issue.

Were you able to find a solution?

    Thanks

  • Go into the OA and under the 'Network Access' option check that 'Enable XML Reply' is checked, without it wont work.

Id also ensure the OA is on a resonable firmware revision , say 2.60+

If both the above are ok, trying failing the primary OA over and back again, or restart it if you only have one.

  • Thanks Eddie.

However I verified and the "Enable XML Reply" is checked.

What I forgot to mention is that I was able to add my enclosures to the SCOM MP and everything was working properly.  Then at some point I removed an enclosure from SCOM and when I tried to readd, it gave me the error above.

I tried reinstalling the MP and readding everything but this didn't help.  I'm suspecting someone changed something on my management server..
